Wild West

What a Cowboy! is a set of rules for Wild West gunfights played with miniatures. It allows multiple players to have shoot-outs or play a campaign in which they may see their characters progress. Players roll action dice and use them for moving, spotting, aiming, shooting or reloading. Bonanza tokens allow interruptions of other players’ moves. Characters can have special traits that allow them to change action dice or do other things that give them an advantage.

The town’s Boss’ (Lee) kid (Steve)shot down, in the saloon, in cold blood the out of town rancher’s (Richard) kid. The sheriff (Jim) decided to ignore the shooting by taking the word of the shooter since the dead son refused to comment. This all didn’t sit well with the father (Richard), so he and three ranch hands and a hired gun came to town for a bit of justice. The father shot at the town Boss and missed. At this point, the entire town attacked the rancher and his hands. The hired gun was killed along with a cow hand. I the mean time, two of the Boss’s (Lee) family were killed and the sheriff (Jim) was shot and could only crawl in the street. The deputy (Jim), tried to restrain the drunken murdering low life of a son (Steve) in the jail, but in the brawl, knocked out into the street. Once in the street, he was picked off by the cowhand and killed. Revenge is sweet. The game was run by the whore mongering Jerry (who actually ran the town prostitution racket.

El Hefe has been captured and is in the jail awaiting transport by the sheriff (Richard) to the county seat to be hung. El Hefe’s gang (Joe) is in town to liberate him. Another gang of bounty hunters (Steve) have been hired to liberate him also. There is a few Texas Rangers (Lee) in town to liberate all Mexicans of their lives. The game started with the bounty hunters trying to slaughter all the women of ill repute. The females were cleansed but at the cost of his life. The other bounty hunter was gunned down in the street by the sheriff and the last behind the church wall. Meanwhile, the Texas rangers took on the Mexican liberators. But, the sheriff had already shot the testicles off two of the Mexicans and killed a third. The Rangers lost one member in a brawl in the church while the second was shot down in the street. The third Ranger killed the last ball less Mexican in the church. Mongo then rode into town. He proceeded to find a barrel of gunpowder laying around the scrap yard (?) and blew up the back of the jail. With the jail on fire the sheriff’s band escaped out the front of the burning building. El Hefe tried to escape out a side window and was gunned down by the sheriff’s posse during his escape attempt. At this point, the game master (Jim) declared the Texas Rangers who have one member the winner.

Gunfighter’s Ball -The evil Dick and His Balls Gang (Richard) was in town to rescue their Dick. He was being held by the Sheriff (Lee) in the town jail. The sheriff’s allies were occupied in the town’s House of Ill-Repute. The Texas Rangers (Jim) were in town to take the Dick to trial and then to the hangman at the county seat. Dick’s Balls were opposed to the final vacation. The Balls gunned down the Sheriff in the street and a Texas Ranger through the window of the jail. One of the Sheriff’s lackeys crippled two of Dick’s Balls. The almost castrated Balls still had some juice and eliminated the lackey. Meanwhile, the Gunfighter was taking on the Texas Rangers who were using Dick as a human shield. But.. to no avail, the Gunfighter took out Flaskman with extreme prejudice. The rangers and lackeys and a horse ganged up on the Gunfighter and cut him down. The two crippled Balls got excited and gunned down the lackey while the last ranger threw the Dick over the horse and mounted it. Making a break for it, the Ranger was shot off his horse and then gunned down by the crawling Balls. As a side show, Pedro, one of the other Balls, on his death bed from wounds and a finally shoot away tequila hip flask, had enough and took out the Sheriff’ last two lackeys. Dick and his Balls then had their way with the town. They later hung the game master (Jerry) in the town square in front of the Law Offices to great joy from the town people.
