Wild West Exodus – Town of Drudge (practice)

Central Texas Board Game and Miniatures Posted on November 30, 2020 by RichardApril 14, 2021

Tried the new Wild West Exodus game. We set up a three player scenario to practice using the used. Three fractions were used.. The Lawmen … The Confederates … and The Wayward Eight (think Firefly)…

After five turns, Lee (The Lawmen) declared victory. Of course, Jim (The Wayward Eight) and Richard (The Confederates) disagreed. The game continued with Lee being almost wiped out. We declared the game a draw in spite of the Lawmen thinking they were victorious taking it to their graves.

Rangers of Shadow Deep – The House

Central Texas Board Game and Miniatures Posted on November 23, 2020 by RichardNovember 23, 2020

Evidence from the encampment lead the party to a suspected house. The rangers each brought two companions. Richard started out well by casting a fireball into the first room to eliminate the two knolls but was killed at the second door after missing the shadow knight with a fireball, a fire bolt, and three melee combats and no hits.

The rest of the party rushed through the door and eliminated all except for the shadow knight. In the fight, Jim and his dog died. Richards two companions, the barbarian and Templar, took on the shadow knight scoring the typical no hits with both killed. Lee managed to rid the world of the shadow mage.

The next scenario led to the upper floor with rangers et al restored to partial health. Richard managed, once again, to eliminate all his crew without any hits. Jim and his companions were eliminated, as well as, Lee. It was left to the companions to clean up the mess.

Rangers of Shadow Deep – The Encampment

Central Texas Board Game and Miniatures Posted on November 23, 2020 by RichardNovember 23, 2020

Another scenario with Jim, Lee and Richard. There was an encampment of knolls encamped across the river with an ogre as backup. Finally, Richard had a good day eliminating most of the knolls and ogre. Jim, as usual, sneaked across the river and sacked the village while Lee and Richard were busy dealing with the nasties.

Rangers of Shadow Deep – The Forest

Central Texas Board Game and Miniatures Posted on November 19, 2020 by RichardNovember 23, 2020

Jim, Lee and I continued with the next scenario with the Spider Infestation. The scenario went well with Richard’s normal pathetic die rolls.

Rangers of Shadow Deep (Part 1)

Central Texas Board Game and Miniatures Posted on November 19, 2020 by RichardNovember 23, 2020

Jim, Lee and I ran our first episode of Rangers of Shadow Deep (RoSD). Jim (fighter) used two companions while Lee (fighter) and Richard (mage) were only given one. Jim had an additional dog and archer, Lee had archer companion and Richard had a rogue companion. There were numerous spiders and zombies. Richard, as expected, lost most of his and companions die rolls. Jim, as usual, scavenged the wounded nasties for the points after Lee and Richard reduced them down to a few health.
