On the eve of their battle with Ne’Krul, the heroes reviewed their efforts to oppose her and disrupt her ritual attempt to free Baelziffar, the Demon King, from his prison in the Ynfernael.

THE SPREADING MISTS

More rumors of hauntings and terror in Northern Forthyn reached the heroes. And again, they found the farmer Herbie at the center of the activity.

This time, however, it was no hoax. Herbie was beset by beasts and spirits, driven by the malevolent will of Waiqar the Undying. The heroes led the effort to evacuate the farmers.

PUT TO REST

Following her encounter with Kathryn’s spirit in Fallowhearth, Brynn met with her aunt, Baroness Adelynn, to offer what condolences she could.

With Brynn’s help, Kathryn was able to say goodbye to her mother, the Baroness.

FINAL VENGEANCE

Ne’Krul began her attempt to free the Demon King, Baelziffar, from his prison in the Infernael. Galaden and the other heroes killed her before she accomplished her goal, and Baelziffar remains cut off from the mortal realm.

• Because the heroes saved the people of Fallowhearth, the Blood Sister had only a few sacrifices for her horrific rituals
• Because the heroes prevented Ne’Krul from gaining the dragon skull from Meza and The Dread, she was forced to use lesser bones in the ritua
• Because the heroes retrieved the rune from Gyldren’s tomb, Ne’Krul was forced to use trinkets of lesser power for her ritual

Brynn was summoned to Highmont at the behest of her aunt Adelynn. The Baroness intended to name Brynn her legal heir and successor.

Event – KINDRED FIRE

• Kehli, Galaden, and Vaerix met with an aged priest of Kellos named Master Galgoraz, seeking to learn more about Kellos and to investigate any possible connection between that faith and the dragon worship of The Dread.
  Galgoraz assured them that the flames of Kellos represent passion and renewal, not mere destruction.
• Vaerix considered whether the dragon hybrids could find a home amongst the sect of Kellos, but concluded that they needed to find their own path in the world.

QUEST – THE FATE OF FALLOWHEARTH

The town of Fallowhearth was beset by Uthuk raiders who sought to capture its residents. Brynn joined forces with the ghostly remnant of her cousin, Kathryn, to defeat the Uthuk and save her people.

• Years ago, Brynn’s cousin Kathryn died in Fallowhearth after using necromancy in a desperate, but successful, attempt to defeat a great evil. Her spirit lingered on as an unseen protector of the town and the derelict keep within.
• Brynn encouraged Kathryn’s spirit to use the necromantic arts to attempt to save Fallowhearth. The ghost is no longer tethered to the site of her death, and instead travels with her cousin, though Brynn is the only one who can see her.
